CALACATTA OYSTER HONED GRANDE

An unthinkable format until today!

Calacatta Oyster Honed by Marmi Orobici Graniti represents one of the highest expressions of premium Italian natural marble. This extremely rare material comes from the historic Fabbricotti quarry in Tuscany, a site renowned for producing exceptionally valuable marbles that are now almost impossible to source. The availability of large blocks is extremely limited: obtaining slabs of such impressive dimensions is an exceptional event, reserved for only the finest selections.

From an aesthetic point of view, Calacatta Oyster Honed stands out for its powerful visual impact. Broad, deep veining flows dynamically across the surface, alternating light tones with warmer and darker shades, creating a natural and highly scenic effect. The honed finish, matte and velvety, further enhances the material’s depth and texture, emphasizing its refined, contemporary elegance.

Its processing is complex and demanding. This marble is often marked by internal fractures and natural fragility, making each cut a true challenge. Vacuum consolidation is required to prevent breakage. Only in recent years, thanks to our most advanced technologies, has it been possible to cut and fully enhance this extraordinary stone. Today, Calacatta Oyster Honed is destined for exclusive projects, where uniqueness and strong character are essential requirements.

From the Italian quarries, where time itself carves matter, is born Calacatta Oyster, a marble of rare visual and sensory intensity. Its pure white background is traversed by irregular, undulating veins, where deep blacks, golden yellows, and warm beiges intertwine like the shifting currents of an ever-moving sea. Each slab tells a different story: a changing balance between strength and delicacy. The chromatic energy of Calacatta Oyster does not shout; it whispers elegance, transforming every space into one of harmony and controlled contrast. From a technical perspective, this marble is distinguished by its remarkable resistance to impact and wear, qualities that make it ideal for flooring and vertical cladding. Its compact and durable nature makes it particularly suited for interior applications, where natural light can enhance its shades and material depth.Calacatta Oyster is not merely a stone; it is a living surface, capable of merging the heritage of Italian marble with a bright, sophisticated modernity.
