Dolce Vita is an extraordinary dolomite available at Marmi Orobici Graniti, born from a long geological process that began over 200 million years ago. It is formed through the transformation of limestone sediments enriched with magnesium and subjected to high pressure and temperature. This process gives the material a compact structure, high durability and a surface with soft and harmonious tones, ranging from creamy white to pearl grey and warm beige.
Dolce Vita is quarried in Australia, where Marmi Orobici Graniti carefully select the best blocks. These are then transported to Italy, where they are transformed into exquisite slabs using state-of-the-art technology and meticulous craftsmanship.
Today, Dolce Vita is used for flooring, interior and exterior cladding, stairs, kitchen and bathroom tops, and is a favourite material for high-end interior design projects.
International architects appreciate it for its balance between classicism and modernity. Norman Foster and Tadao Ando have used dolomite in projects where natural materials interact with light and space in a refined, contemporary way. The name “Dolce Vita” recalls the Italian glamour of the 1960s and reflects the idea of timeless elegance, comfort and natural beauty that this stone conveys to every room in which it is laid.
