How the Production Process works at Marmi Orobici Graniti
Once blocks have been cut with diamond multi-wire saws, the new production process begins by loading the slabs on 35 tons payload capacity metal frames; such frames are then transported using an automatic forklift that features LGV (Laser Guided Vehicle) technology.
The new production plant consists of:
- 20 pads planetary calibrating and grinding line
- resin line with vertical loading, automatic and thermo-controlled netting and resin application, Microwave, catalysis towers, slab overturning system and resin drops removal
- 3 moving beams – 21 heads polishing line, quality control area and waxing machine
The sequence of the various operations is managed by an unprecedented handling system.
The loaded frames with slabs are carried among the production units by LGVs according to the daily production planning. This allows us to avoid the continuous use of overhead cranes when handling the slabs. Ultimately, the slabs are carried in the new 7,000 m² warehouse and showroom.
